Flat Romans
This is a home with a very sweet and loving owner. She gave me the honor of doing these two rooms, and we have 20 more windows to go. We are going with the flat romans most all the way through the home. There is going to be some fabric covered shutters also in this home. I just have a before of the living area on these. All the trims are hand-sewn. The fabrics are all from Discount Fabrics here in Tazewell, Tn.

Drapes based on the Scarlet Curtain from Patterns Plus
Believe it or not these were made from a client's previous PP drapes from her old house, including the Oxford valance from M'Fay. The drapes were based on the Scarlet Curtain from Patterns Plus.

Farm House Makeover
This farmhouse dining room had a complete make over. The walls were repainted in Martha Stewart's "barn red" and the window treatments in a Kravet silk stripe make a more dramatic statement.

The panels are 135" long with a 24" long attached flip over valance with fringe. The panels are lined and interlined. Each panel is one width and has been gathered to a Finished width of 10". Rufflette Press and Drape pleating tape was used to shirr the panels and held in place on the rod with velcro.

The rods are Kirsch Buckingham 2" diameter in Aged Gold finish with Acanthus Leaf finials.

Interlined silk panels for the bedroom have a FL of 122" which allowed for a little puddling on the floor. At the top is a 9" triple pouf header. This was made using Kitty Stein's directions from Sew What Magazine, Nov. '01. Using the Rufflette Press and Drape pencil pleat tape a breeze. Easily gathered two widths to 45" FW. On the door is a similar, smaller pouf - 6"-7" tall. The back of the press and drape allowed it to 'stick' to the hook side of velcro.
