Inspired by the client's art and request for something dramatic, this design was created to bring in the "WOW" factor - all points achieved. I actually made her cry, tears of joy of course. Details: fabric from Magnolia in 100% silk "Elizabeth-tan", contrast silk "pebbletex-aqua", trim from Dkei, Finial Company hardware in 3", weathered gold.

Description: This pillow was the first place prizewinner in the pillow category of the 2004 CHFI contest. It features trapunto (stuffed work) in the center, enhanced by very fine stippling. The background surrounding the center circle has corded double needle pintucks with handsewn freshwater pearls. The border is quilted with a floral design and edged with microwelt. Loops of smooth welt cord add a decorative touch to the ruffled border.
